Your Flashlight to Pierce the Darkness

"Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful."

A Universal Mind Meditation

Breath ...Let yourself release and relax. Gently release all of the tension of the day.  Let every breath you take, melt you in your chair. (pause)

From within you there is a growing feeling of spaciousness, comfort and well being.

Stair into this limitless point, where your breath takes you onward to meet with infinity. (Pause)

As you follow your breath feel yourself becoming free of all thoughts and feelings that have restricted you and in this way, go beyond the gravity of the physical body.

Here you begin to feel that you can step into another space, that gently links you to a feeling of the greatest love and compassion imaginable, which comes from the essence that is within all creation. (pause)

Now allow yourself to feel the unlimited space of your being. Allow your higher consciousness to fill that space. Feel the Universal Mind energy slowly filling you, like a waterfall of light and love filling every part of your soul. Feel yourself floating as that energy expands you into every nook and cranny of this room. (Pause)

Now you are one with the universe.  Let yourself be in that state.....Now imagine yourself as the Universal Mind.

What would you do? What would you create? Feel the urge inside you ready to burst. Inside you is an energy with the intensity of a thousands suns. How will you put that energy to use?

Now a moment of silence with this contemplation.

When you are ready, slowly come back from your meditative state.

In closing of the meeting.......

We are radiating centers of total joy and peace,

We are the love and laughter that will always be,

We are the way, the truth and the light,

We are as angels in preparation for flight.

In the name and through the power of the presence I AM,

I now decree divine order our lives and affairs.

Let the Abundance and Prosperity that WE ARE, be revealed,

Let the Wholeness and Balance that WE ARE, manifest,

Let the Unconditional Love that WE ARE, be expressed,

Let the Perfect Health that WE ARE, be felt,

Let the Wisdom and Knowledge WE ARE, be communicated,

Let the Truth, WE ARE, be surrendered,

Let the Action, WE ARE, be implemented,

Let the Will of I AM be done HERE and NOW,

SO BE IT.

( To personalize the prayer, say I AM instead of WE ARE.)

~The Beacons of Light Meditation~

Breathe deep as the energy of the Earth becomes a part of you. Feel the energy of the Mother as it enters through the air flowing into your lungs. Become one with everything around you as you meld into the energy. Now close your eyes and feel your body becoming one with the Earth. Relax, as your breath connects you even further to the oneness that binds all together.

You are standing outside looking down the street where you live. It is a beautiful day and the sun is shining. You close your eyes for a moment to take it all in. In that moment you feel the energy of someone standing in front of you. Opening your mind's eye, see the young girl now standing there full of radiant beauty. She is smiling in a way that makes you want to laugh. It is as if she is thinking about a very funny joke but has not told it to you yet. You succumb to the energy of the humor and let out a little giggle. As you do this, a very large smile comes over her face. Her eyes are flashing as the smile grows into a brilliant glowing of light. The light becomes so bright that you begin to shield your eyes, then you are aware that the light is sending you energy. That moment you open to the energy and look fearlessly into the light. The vibrations of Home now begin to overwhelm you as the love you feel is bringing you home. A single tear falls from one eye as you re-member the feelings of Home.

The Light now fades as the girl stands before you. She is smiling and for the first time you look very closely at her. She appears to be about 15 but you can tell her presence is far beyond her years. Her skin is very smooth and radiating a special energy that is very familiar. She sees you looking at her and turns to face you so that you may see her more clearly. It is only then that you realize that everything that was around you is now gone. Looking down the street you do not see any of the houses or trees that line the street. Even the street itself seems to have disappeared.

You look to her for an answer and she smiles as she speaks to you for the first time. "That which you allow in your field determines your reality. You will have the opportunity to choose a reality that brings you your highest potential." You are now smiling as you begin to envision the many possibilities. "Can I have anything I want?" you ask. The answer comes, "Yes, anything your heart desires." "What do I need to do to create my reality?" you ask. "You have only to hold a thought in your mind for twenty-six seconds or more," comes the answer. In astonishment you respond, " Are you saying that I can create my reality in only twenty-six seconds?" A beautiful smile now fills her face as she begins to laugh. "You have always had this power. Being unaware of your power means that your reality is often the result of others' thoughts. If you do not create your reality in every moment, the thoughts around you that are closest to your own create a reality for you. Therefore if you do not purposely choose, a default choice will be made for you. Here, you have an opportunity to re-create a new reality so that you may find the powers of creation that you hold." With that your mind wanders to the many possibilities. You look for the street that was there a few minutes ago and after a short time the street magically appears. "Choose your thoughts carefully," comes the gentle re-minder from the girl.

You decide to see if this really works and in that moment you think of the trees that lined the street where you live. After twenty-six seconds the trees began to magically appear one at a time. Now you start to get very confident of your creative abilities and begin to create the houses on your street as they were before they disappeared a few minutes ago. As you were creating each house you re-member the people in these houses. You can't help but wonder if creating your reality is this easy.

As you look at each house your mind naturally wanders to the one neighbor with which you have real difficulty. You think to yourself: "Finally, I can enjoy life without having to deal with his energy." Just at that moment the person you were just thinking about appears in the scene. That person begins to speak to you in only the way they can and it is only moments before you feel your own energy begin to drain. A quick glance to the young girl tells you that you must have held the image of this person past the seventeen-second mark. Without speaking a word she answers your unspoken question: "Yes you have brought them into your reality by holding a thought. Although it is possible to walk away from this person, it also sets the energy for you to create this same reality elsewhere. Here you are best to shift this reality rather than re-create it." You speak: "If I am so powerful there must be a way to change this. . . how do I change the reality?" you ask. "There are many ways to change your reality but in this situation may I suggest that you employ the E - factor." "What is the E-factor?" you ask. "It is a powerful creation technique used by the Angels to create a pleasant reality. Here is how it works: For any person in your reality find one way in which to empower them. Offer them a view of themselves as fully empowered beings and then invite them to step into that role. With this action your own reality will change to a higher, more pleasing one."

"What if they do not change their actions?" "Once you have applied the E-Factor, the dynamics of the relationship change. If the difficult energy still remains, then you may leave the relationship without the strings that bind you to the lesson. Empower those around you but do not take responsibility for others to accept that empowerment. Offer it freely and without restriction or attachment to the outcome and then allow them the choice of acceptance. If they choose to accept, then the relationship will shift and your realities will change. If they choose not to accept, then you may leave the relationship freely. Either way, you have created a higher more supportive reality for yourself."

Just then your neighbor walks over and begins to complain about your tree that reaches over into his yard. "That tree is a mess and throws leaves everywhere, when are you going to chop it down?" he grumbles. You think for a moment and tell him: "My family really loves that tree and I would really rather not chop it down but I do understand the problem. Why don't you and your wife come over for dinner tomorrow night, and we can all talk about the situation." He mumbles under his breath: "Well, I guess that would be all right." Then he looks at you in the eye for the first time, smiles and walks away.

You look over at the young girl who has been watching this whole exchange. She is smiling and answers your question even before it is asked: "You have just applied the E-factor. You purposely altered the energy of the relationship. This technique can be used in many situations with those around you and is not restricted to problem relationships. If you wish to be surrounded by higher vibrational people then use the same tools used by the Angels." You look at her with puzzlement. "How do the Angels use this technique?" She responds: "It is the Angels that create the vibrations of Home and they do so through the same techniques we are introducing to you now. You are creating Home here on your side of the veil and these are the first tools we will share with you on how to do it. Take these tools and use them often. These tools will quickly open the door for the dimensional shift into the higher vibrations of Home."

As the girl's words fall away she turns to leave. As her body turns, you can see her wings for the first time. The beauty of her energy field is overwhelming and you start to realize it was an angel who has been speaking to you. A tear forms in the corner of your eye as you feel the beauty of Home. The street fades away and you find yourself back in the place where you began this journey. You make a promise to yourself to begin to treat yourself as the angel that you are and to use the tools of the Angels.

And so it is- - - - - - -

What Does Love Mean?

Submitted by Paula Thompson

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of
4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?"

The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have
imagined. See what you think:

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and
paint her toenails anymore.
So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands
got arthritis too. That's love."
Rebecca- age 8

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.
You just know that your name is safe in their mouth."
Billy - age 4 (I love this one)

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving
cologne and they go out and smell each other."
Karl - age 5

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your
French fries without making them give you any of theirs."
Chrissy - age 6

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."
Terri - age 4

"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes
a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK."
Danny - age 7

"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired
of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more.
My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss"
Emily - age 8

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop
opening presents and listen."
Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with
a friend who you hate,"
Nikka - age 6
(we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears
it everyday."
Noelle - age 7

"Love is like a little old woman and a little
old man who are
still friends even after they know each other so well."
Tommy - age 6

"Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken."
Elaine-age 5

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and
sweaty and still says
he is handsomer than Robert Redford."
Chris - age 7

"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left
him alone all day."
Mary Ann - age 4

"I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her
old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones."
Lauren - age 4

"When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little
stars come out of you." (what an image)
Karen - age 7

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't
think it's gross."
Mark - age 6

"You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But
if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget."
Jessica - age 8

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked
about a contest he was asked to judge.

The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.
The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was
an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's
yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little
boy said,

"Nothing, I just helped him cry"

They sent bombers to blow up the bridge and all the Israelites were saved."
"Now, Joey, is that really what your teacher taught you?" his mother asked.
"Well, no, Mom. But, if I told it the way the teacher did, you'd never believe it!"

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD:

Little Rick was excited about the task, but, he just couldn't remember the Psalm. After much practice, he could barely get past the first line.
On the day that the kids were scheduled to recite Psalm 23 in front of the congregation, Ricky was so nervous. When it was his turn, he stepped up to the microphone and said proudly, "The Lord is my Shepherd, and that's all I need to know."

ALL MEN / ALL GIRLS?

When my daughter, Kelli, was 3, she and my son, Cody, would say their nightly prayers, together.
As most children do, we have to bless every family member, every friend, and every animal (current and past). For several weeks, after we had finished the nightly prayer, Kelli would say, "And all girls."
As this soon became part of her nightly routine, to include this at the end, my curiosity got the best of me and I asked her, "Kelli, why do you always add the part about all girls?"
Her response, "Because we always finish our prayers by saying 'All Men'!"

"Of course, you do," his mother insisted. "We say a prayer, before eating, at our house."
